Anybody who has ever sat through a wedding, funeral, christening or even a regular Sunday service will know that even the wine can not make it any less miserable. For a long time, I thought the only way to jazz up church would be if it was in space, since everything is more fun in SPACE...

The more I read of Sevara, the more I become enthralled with the question of how much power does Sevara, as a Godlike character, really have?

Whether for good or ill, insanity is a thing in this world of ours and if you're able to do something with it in a creative way for example, it makes life that much more fun...

Man, I can hardly believe I took a few years to read more of this series. Cause holy crap did this story get to be pretty damn amazing!

Well now, and I thought Buffy Summers pretty much owned the top spot for most interesting female supernatural fighting lead to have an interesting name. But the very lovely lead woman within Burough of Churches certainly takes up a contender's spot for Buffy Summers' spot...

Andy captures the use of old time English rather well too in this, which really helps to keep you immersed in the world of Defiant...

Well this is the last issue of this wonderful introduction of a new world and wonderful characters and a complete and utter sense of silliness and fun that is desperately needed in the world today. This has made me laugh out loud, grin like the Cheshire Cat and has left me wanting to see more of their adventures...

When I first saw preview pages of Super, it immediately had my interest and nicely enough Jay was kind enough to allow me an opportunity to check out all three issues he and his team have out so far. And what a fantastic read its been so far in my view...

Ross tackles the first issue of Starburn!

This comic, which I think is a tie-in (prequel? maybe?) to a game that was successfully funded on Kickstarter called Megami Saga: Crimson Princess, is rather interesting...

Reading Sevara, you get the feeling that there is a underlying mystery to everything, and perhaps not everything you see is as it seems...

The finale of the Valiant Introspective has arrived!

These books really are the best on the market as a group, in my less than humble opinion, the richness and complexity of the Valiant universe bursts forward with every issue I've read, even the short stories...

While this is pretty much at the beginning of the series thanks in part to Aspen acquiring BDI as an imprint, its also serving quite nicely as my way of getting introduced to the world of Critter...

Plus, this is a comic about space exploration and a little man flying about in the universe in a space ship. What's not to love about that!?

This issue has so much going for it as the characters become fleshed out more and the story surrounding Coil becomes more complex and interesting...

For quite some time now, Salvagers has been a title I've been pretty curious about and recently, I finally had the chance to sate said curiousity about this title. And was it worth it? Oh yes, yes it was darn well worth it!

Bottwin is creepy as all get out and he just adds that touch of horror to this book that it really needs to balance out the whole thing that the brothers bring...

Well here we are with the last chapter of this story and I’ve got to say that Gigio doesn’t disappoint us...

This really is just a plain old fun book, it’s got all the elements of a great buddy story between the two agents mixed with the mystery of Roswell and the Alien Conspiracy...

Merely a tale of a kind heart with only so much to give, but giving it up to the right person can save their life even at the cost of your own...

I imagine this will be a story that will resonate with quite a few people, especially for those who were around during the times when the whites and the blacks being together was considered something of a no no...

Werewolves! Who the heck doesn’t like werewolves? I mean besides Americans walking around the English countryside at night. They are not fans of werewolves...

Adam’s dreams are beginning to get more intense, involved, and revealing though when he wakes he still isn’t quite sure what’s what...

A time traveling, espionage, action/adventure buddy flick style thriller, seriously what more do you need to know about it to pick this up?

As a first timer to American Gothic Press, (thank you May Previews!) my introduction to them via the first issue of their new series Gunsuits was in my view, a great way to dive into their brand of comic making...

With each chapter of this story that I read I find myself more and more involved with what’s happening and really enjoying myself getting to know these characters and the world they live in...

I have to admit, as this was my first time experiencing the world of Lady Mechanika, I really enjoyed it...

I was intrigued about Hollow Girl the moment I set eyes on those first preview pages from Luke Cooper...

So this series opens with symbolism using an egg and as long as the egg is intact there is balance in the world if it were to be disturbed well then the world would tremble...

I like that the story is tackling the bath salts incidents from a few years ago, it makes so much sense for this kind of series and it makes for a lot of fun seeing people take drugs that end up turning them into zombies because those drugs are inherently linked to the Tramp herself...

Never have I ever experienced suspense, a serious amount of anger, and the urge to vomit at different points in the span of minutes while reading one comic book. And Prince of Pieces has certainly managed to accomplish that...

Working as a reviewer, I guess some people believe must be fun. I mean, “you get to read free comics”, right?

Now when Dan Barnes first brought this title to life many a month ago, I was honestly intrigued by what he had in mind for this. And now, having recently read the first two issues of this series. I can safely say that it is a very intriguing idea...

Growing up I really wasn’t a fan of black and white comics, but now that I’m older I can appreciate the artwork in it so very much more...

I like Roadkill du Jour, as evidenced by my review of issues one and two. Unfortunately, he is a terrible influence. I can now tell you that eating dead animals you find on roads does not turn you into a super animal...

"The Chair" reminds us that man is truly the most terrifying monster of all and that the horror we inflict on ourselves is often the most cruel...

One of the great things about going to a convention is that local or semi-local people attend these shows and they bring their work put it out there and try to interest you...

As hard as it may be to believe, not all super heroes are dark, grim, gritty, and depressed. There are actually a few heroes who love what they do. They love the costumes, the powers and the defending of truth and justice...

It's not often when a new book comes along and knows right from the first page what it wants to be and the kind of story it wants to tell...

"The Disease" is a one-shot comic book written by James Mulholland with art chores provided by Daniel Romero and letters by Micah Myers. Together they manage to deliver a slightly different twist on the zombie apocalypse theme that has been running rampant through comics, films, and television recently...

I found this to be an intriguing 5-issue series. It had an interesting concept, with an ever evolving story. Characters that I continued to be invested in, and a mystery that kept me hooked...

Well now, I don't think I can quite recall the last time I read something outside of Harry Potter that featured so heavily on magic and their incantations. Which is a nice change of pace too in my view...

Its a riveting good time when you got plenty of Zombie Tramp to go around!

In this issue we get the continuation of Zenescope's take on the original Little Mermaid tale. With hints of the original, and a dash of Disney thrown in, what we get this issue isn't bad at all...

Another solid month for GFT! I actually found myself really enjoying this issue and I'm rather curious to see how the two stories intersect with one another...

With each issue that I read of this series, the complexity of it just seems to pop to the forefront...

First off thank you Mr. Kindt for this, because I love that this doesn’t take place in the United States of America. We have this whole world with all kinds of people and its really nice to see other countries as the focus...

I’m still loving this book, as its totally irreverent and totally tongue in cheek humor of the most basic kind within this book that still delights everyone!

Now ordinarily I'd be sleeping in during the day and avoiding the nice sunny outside atmosphere that's likely somewhat cold. But instead, I am here writing out this review for the first issue of the brand new and awesome title called New Zodiax. Because I slept most of last night and doing this is a lot more fun then more sleeping...

When I first learned of Widow's Web, I found the idea to be interesting and decided to check it out when I had the opportunity to do so. The waiting period I wound up doing before I was able to read it, was in my view, well worth it...

First thing I noticed about this book was the interior artwork, it’s black and white with gray tones. Making it some of the most hauntingly beautiful artwork I have seen so far...

As you might recall the time when I pretty much gushed like a school girl over the first issue of this series. I'm pretty much gushing again over this series, as its been a truly fantastic read. And with this being the 4th issue, I'm honestly saddened by that as it means its the end of the series...

It feels like the story for GFT has come a long way in 100+ issues. Sela has really grown into her character and we have a bunch of new, fresher faces to count among the main characters...

I'm a big fan of Zenescope, every time I pick up a book of theirs I'm impressed with what I read. And jumping onto issue #104 at the start of the “Rise of the Water Nymphs” 2-parter has been no exception...

Whispering is annoying. Who can hear you when you whisper? It just sounds like some kind of rhythmic hissing. I get the need for whispering, but I don’t like it. Stop spitting in people’s ears. It’s not nice at all. It’s a terrible form of communication...

It can sometimes be a little difficult to write a review on a preview, after all, it's a snippet of things to come. But Hobson's Choice gives us a little something to chew on for the 9 pages of art we're given...

This is a most unusual book. Not 'unusual' in an uncomfortable way, but in one that is scarcely seen. As this is a cross-over book between the Sci-Fi and Superhero genres...

This book was really, really good. The idea is absurd, and Mendoza knows that. He plays around with the fun premise and makes it both surprisingly moving and a lot of fun to experience...

This issue really was a lot of fun. The fact that BP comics aren't supposed to be taken extremely serious helps a lot; given their extreme nature. All you need is a sense of humor and a sense of fun...

I've always enjoyed a good Cop series, that 'ground-level' feel to a book that you see in episodic TV series' such as “The Shield” and “The Wire”, films like “Training Day” and the lesser-known, James Ellroy-penned “Dark Blue”, stretching beyond a case to solve. They're very much character-driven stories, which branch off into multiple directions, “The Port” seems to be flowing in that manner...

Holy sound effects has it been awhile since I laid my eyes across some Private Dick! After having read the 2nd and 3rd issues just recently I am seriously wishing I hadn't taken as long as I wound up doing to read them...

Now I don't know if this is how anyone else has felt once they started reading this. But for me, once I got to reading this I could nearly immediately feel that something was very, very wrong...

I grew up with some great books, such as 2000 AD and First Comics, in particular, this made me think of 'Badger', not by any particular resemblance, but the spirit of the book...

Not so very long ago, I reviewed the magnificent Chicken Outfit issue one by Joe Deagnon and Kirby Stasyna. But it was long enough ago that you probably forgot what happened! It has dribbled out of your head!

God I love when comics use Biblical material, as like with various forms of mythology there's quite a lot you can work with if you have the imagination for it...

The multiverse is a big, big thing. Endless, devastating, and... confusing. Gabriel Ehmm is finding all this out in just the worst way...

Video Nasty is certainly something that one shouldn't hold off on reading. Because you're only denying yourself a good read that way...
