I am enjoying this series very much, there’s something inherently fun and cute about a couple of kids who discover an alien one of whom receives a mark the other desperately wanted and then seeing them try to work together to figure it all out and work together to accomplish things that most adults wouldn’t be able to dream of doing...

Phil hasn’t wasted any time getting this series underway and honestly I like that, it’s nice to see that we aren’t going to spend a lot of time with a set-up to what’s going to happen as instead we’re pretty much in it now...

This issue had an interesting, and not unwelcoming take on Beowulf. Complete with Grendal and his mother. I'm interested to see where the storyline goes...

Derrick brings on the first part of his FCBD 2015 round up!

One of the things I absolutely adore about the Huntsman story is that it feels like old Comico stuff from say the Justice Machine/Elementals days for example...

We all love a good Pirate story and if we didn’t than the Pirates of the Caribbean wouldn’t have been so successful. And Action Lab know a good one when they see it too...

I like that we start off with Marian doing her thing and listening to her inner musings about her new home. It gives a great sense of who she is now and why she likes being here on Earth...

This is another instance where I wasn’t too expectant, but BOOM! has this uncanny knack for putting out some incredibly good books...

Amigo is like the little engine that could, it just keeps chugging along and very quietly is putting out some of the most interesting books...

I’m not gonna lie, I’m a sucker for a good Dungeons & Dragons styled story, and this one is off to a hell of a good start too...

This issue was, overall, a whole helluva lot of fun. The story was lacking in overall meat – ironic – but we got introduced to a new paranormal race, which I highly enjoyed. And we got a fun chase scene which is sorely lacking in comics these days. Unless I'm just reading the wrong comics...

This is my first outing with Solar under Dynamite, so without the benefit of having read the first 7 issues, I have to treat this as a stand-alone issue...

This has to be one of the more interesting and complex not to mention riveting books Image has put out and honestly with all the incredible stuff they’ve been delivering that is saying a lot!

I really do enjoy Dark Horse’s books and their willingness to push the envelope and find what kind of story is going to be enough to fit in with what’s going on in popular culture...

Derrick takes us back into the past a bit with a few thoughts on some Halloween related comics! How far back you ask? Why way back to 2012 of course!

16 books, 29 stories; and who said I didn’t love my job? Seriously though, guys, this was a ton of work and I’m so thankful to have the chance to not only score such a wide load of books this year, but to be able to sit here and give you my thoughts on all of them...

So days have passed since this year's Free Comic Book Day and some are still marveling at all the finds they wound up getting on that wonderful day. And some for whatever reason still have yet to read their goodies for some reason or another...
