It's like Firefly, but not in space. Loveable misfit pirates just tryin' to find their way in life when it seems suddenly the entire world needs their savvy in order to save the whole damn place...

Tremors is quite the fascinating read, full of whimsy and originality. This is a story that, from what I can tell, takes place long after the story in the original Grove Nymph comic that I reviewed awhile ago...

It’s been awhile since I’ve read a good old fashioned crime book and this one centers around a fella who goes by the nickname Spade...

Chances are that by now, you've heard about and likely even read this installment of Afterlife Inc. And if you haven't done either, where the heck you been!? Consorting in darkened alleys with Vampires or some such!? Bad business to be doing that you know!

One of the greatest honors I have is that when I go to a convention, I get these small independent or self-published books to review. This is one of those times and this really is one of the reasons I love the comics industry...

Superhero books! Aren’t you sick of them, yet? Everywhere you look, there’s somebody wearing something ridiculously tight in order to fight evil. Hammers, flags, Bat ears, webs! All over the place!

Mulholland gives us just enough information we need to feel like the two main characters, Jimmy and the unnamed narrator, are good friends and have been for a long time...

When you think about it, every comic you read such as X-Men, Superman, Brimstone, or various others is all essentially parallel worlds with some differences here and there. But rarely do you see a comic centered solely on the idea of parallel worlds itself. Until recently that is thanks to Jeffrey Morris and Fredrick Haugen of FutureDude...

What they do have is a nice little book here that blends old and new elements together to create a new mytho for existing ones. This one blends Vampires with the world of Jack the Ripper in ways that are both unique and visionary and I found that both surprising and fun...

With such a fantastic looking bunch of folks on the cover of this comic, you certainly know that none of them would have any issues getting themselves a date! Well, if the one they are dating happens to have some really eccentric interests that leave them pretty well open minded anyway...

VIKINGS!!! Pillaging and raping and pillaging some more! You can’t stop those guys. When they’re not doing that, they’re being superheroes who make exploding balls of lightning in New York! Trying to invade Earth? BAM! LIGHTNING IN YOUR FACE!

One thing that I wasn't expecting from this comic was the emphasis over silent panels (and even whole silent pages) instead of a bombardment of text...

Flesh of White #2 is a step-up from the already stellar first outing. We get a lot of well needed character moments, to sit, breathe, and get to know our players before they begin tumbling down...

Here’s an advance look at a new company and a book they are putting out, it’s in this current issue of Previews just so you know. It’s always nice to see new companies form and put out books that aren’t easily found elsewhere...

I was a little let down by this issue. Basically, it’s the Free Comic Book Day version with a few more pages, so I felt I was reading the free issue all over again. Granted this first issue is only a buck so if you didn’t get the FCBD edition it’s a bargain for those like myself, however I did feel a little cheated...

If you thought you knew what was going to happen think again. I was pleasantly surprised to see the characters involved and their personalities emerge. No one is whom I expected them to be and ulterior motives are abundant throughout the first issue giving the reader a glimpse of things to come and that alone shows incredible promise...

I think Dan Parent is THE most progressive man comics today. First he’s been scripting Kevin Keller for Archie and he’s been at the forefront of some of today’s greatest stories dealing with minorities...

Now normally in real bad situations you pray to some higher or maybe even lower being for some sort of help. And normally the prayer goes un-answered for whatever reason and you are completely screwed. Or you get incredibly lucky to have such good fortune once everything is said and done...

It is very obvious that Combo Rangers is a nod to Super Sentai/Power Rangers, and considering what Fabio and Michael are fans of, its easy to see why they wound up doing this...

I’m not gonna lie, I spent a lot of time thinking about what classic Satan based song to reference in this introduction. Originally, I was going to go with “Please allow me to introduce myself,” But that sounds a bit cheesy. Then, I spent some times trying to think about how I can link something to disguises. Tried playing with some Iron Maiden lyrics, too, but that went nowhere...

Oh the 90s, a time when it was perfectly legitimate to think that “Manga” was also just another word for “Anime” and so anime inspired artwork would be called the same. These days, it's much more precise to call it manga inspired artwork..

Signs and Voices, much like Inverse Press' Flesh of White is a bold move in storytelling in the world of comics. As it deals with the subject of people who are deaf, a subject you don't really quite see in comics except maybe every great once in awhile and then its left alone for a long while again...

First off, the title of this book is misleading; it isn’t about hiring corpses for Halloween decorations. That’s pretty disappointing, as I think that’s a premise that isn’t used nearly enough. Think of the possibilities!

Well first off, I can safely say that Razor Bastard is NOT something for youngsters in any form or fashion. Paul has been hard at work for months now on this and while I've seen images here and there of this title on his Facebook, none of that prepared me for what I would be fully seeing in this book...
