Gbotic Productions releases original comic book series ADAM 12
PHILADELPHIA, PA (September 2, 2014) -- Gbotic Productions releases the sixth issue of its six-issue comic book series ADAM 12, which begs the questions: “What if you had 12 chances at life? Would you eventually get it right?” In the near future, America is no longer a “free” country. Unable to sustain its debts, the United States is “owned” by China. Adam Stairs -- a day-dreaming, low-ranking employee in Philadelphia’s housing department -- does his best to excel in a dim and oppressed world of bureaucrats. Adam's girlfriend left him, his boss hates him, he has an alcoholic/womanizing best friend, and he’s homeless. Everything in his life seems to be going the wrong way, but unbeknownst to him, Adam is about to get his 12th chance at life, love and leading humanity to the Garden of Eden.
ADAM 12 is written by Gigio Longo, an award-winning architect, designer and local Philly restaurateur with a long-standing passion for comics and recently named "GEEK of the WEEK" on Geekadelphia.com. ADAM 12 is illustrated by Nick Suders, who previously worked on webcomics Tin Gods and The Art of War. ADAM 12 covers are done by Christine Larsen, who is best known for her online comic La Morte Sisters, which was nominated for a Harvey Award, as well as her pin-up work on local comics Dogs of Mars and Moon Girl. Christine was recently nominated for “Comic Creator of the Year” by the Geekadelphia Awards. ADAM 12 is edited by Lee Porter, best known locally for his online web series MY RUINED LIFE, which was awarded “Best Web Series Shot In Philadelphia” by FirstGlance Film Festival (2012). Individual (and the complete set of) ADAM 12 comic books can be purchased via www.Adam12theBook.com, Amazon kindle, www.comicsfix.com, IndyPlanet.com and some local comic book stores such as Fat Jacks Comic Crypt and Brave New Worlds in Olde City.
