Walk

Story and Art: Stefano Cardoselli
Writer: Stephen Nelson
Letterer: Bram Meehan
Article Writer: Robert McClelland
Summary: In the hellishly repressive 'utopia' of America's not-too-distant future, mindless televised violence is the last surviving art form. A dying society's final means of catharsis finds its ultimate expression in The Tower Of Justice, seventeen stories of carnage and cameras, where hundreds of condemned criminals fight to the death daily in glorious prime time. Enter Garrotte, a living mountain of muscle and angst, a man determined to take the 'long walk' to the top of the tower, where, it's just possible, the ultimate prize of freedom awaits...
Hot Spot Time: Its time to bring you all a little something different here at IndieComiX! Introducing a new area here on the site, is a spotlight on Kickstarter projects. The Hot Spot will be aimed at helping get Indie books even more coverage, especially if they are just starting out and are in need of a little help. And what better way to start this off then with a project by none other than the awesome Stefano Cardoselli!? Now by this point in time you’ve heard of this man. You know it, I know it, and a bunch of others know it. Or at least should! And this time, Stefano is back to ask for a little help in raising the funds needed to get his latest title out and about! A book that is only known as Walk! And with Stefano Cardoselli at the helm of this piece of awesome, you know you’re going to be in for a great read full of ass kickery! And from what little I’ve seen of the book so far, I honestly think my statement is going to have plenty of truth to it! The colors and art are all Stefano Cardoselli and its something I’ve come to love as I’ve seen his work as time has gone by. Society in this book has basically gone down the crapper, and with it their sense of good entertainment taste. Granted, its almost like that in real life as it is anyway. But at least we aren’t seeing folks fight in gruesome battles!

And boy do I feel sorry for that little clown in one of the panels. The cover itself is something that promises you a good time. Especially if you’re into lots of violence! Freedom certainly is a motivator in Stefano’s book. And you know the world isn’t going to like it once the man of the hour hopefully manages to gain his freedom! While Stefano was kind enough to send me a few images of Walk, it really leaves me wanting to just be able to read the whole thing! And with your help, this book can get the funds needed so that it will be able to be in front of your violence loving eyes alongside mine! I warn you however that this will not be something you want your kids to read. Unless for whatever strange reason they are already desensitized to violence in general. So are you ready to enter the world of the man known as Garrotte? I sure hope so! To find out more on this project and what you can do to help out.
