The Mighty Titan
Writer and Creator: Joe Martino
Pencilers: Luca Cicchitti and Cory Smith
Inker: Jeff Austin
Colorist: Keith J. Betancourt
Letterer: Johnny Lowe
Article Writer: Robert McClelland
Summary: Imagine for a moment that you were the worlds strongest protector. Imagine that no knife, bullet or bomb can harm you. Then imagine in that moment you are told that you have cancer.
Hot Spot Time: The Mighty Titan is a potentially future 5 issue mini-series, but only with your help! As Joe Martino is looking for those willing to help fund his project and help show his own unique perspective on cancer. From some of the artwork I’ve seen by Cicchitti and Smith on this book. I find it rather likable, and hope to see more of it. Joe Martino has managed to assemble quite an impressive team to help bring this book to life. While the Mighty Titan is a Superman like character, the fact he has to one day get the bad news that he has cancer is a story that you would never see about Superman getting. I am very curious on how he’ll be able to deal with things, and if he manages to find a cure. The fact that Joe is willing to use his own experiences with cancer in this story is something I imagine other Cancer survivors will appreciate. Even though I get the feeling this will not be a story filled that’s entirely a happy one. As this will show what those with cancer have to go through. As I write this, a good friend of mine comes to mind and the memory of what she went through. And luckily was able to conquer her own bout of Cancer. So far the project has reached up to 5,000, and has 15 more days to go to reach 10, 550. Not a bad goal to fund and certainly an easily reachable one if people are willing to help out! And even if you aren't able to help fund it, be sure to share it with others so that the word about this project can be learned of!
