Warning; highly suggested you don’t read this while under the influence of something. As this is very likely to make you have a bad trip. Other than that, happy reading! This title features another of those things I enjoy, and its not just cause I’m Native American either. But the fact this has a bit of Native American mythology in it and how they go about what I believe to be their Vision Quests is very neat. Also shows how you should always have a good grip on things before taking substances you know is bound to flip your brains around a bit. The cover and the art all through out this reminds me a bit of Stefano Cardoselli’s art. And for those of you who are familiar with him. This may also double your viewing pleasure while reading this excellently written title. Heather Breckel’s coloring duties even helps give it that feel. How come kids just can’t have fun with out the need for drugs? I admit that reading this at times had me feeling like I might get a little out of it just from the visuals alone.
All that gosh darned television and what not I suspect! While its probably a bit wrong, I personally love how Karen’s drug induced illusions help her out with a long held problem. Even in getting a bit of justice. Jesse Grillo writes a darn good story. One that keeps you interested from start to finish. And I strongly believe this is something everyone will want to check out. May there also be a lesson learned to keep your drugs hidden and locked up better! I find myself rather curious as to how this will impact the tribe that uses the drug, due to the problems that others wind up happening. Personally, I do hope Jesse does return to this little universe he’s come up with. As I wouldn’t mind seeing Karen, the others, and the Native Americans get into more situations with the drug. Hopefully without too many losses. Will Karen and the others make it out of this alive and whole? Find out when this great title hits stores! Also, be sure and visit the Bleeding Ink Productions Facebook page, along side their kickstarter page. As any donations will help go a long way in getting more titles like this out to the masses!
