Summary: When Frak's alarm clock goes missing, he sets out to find it and along the way makes new friends. Will Frak be successful? Or will time have its way?
Review: Frick, Frak and Jack is something I found to be a fairly enjoyable read. Good clean fun for everyone to enjoy aside from one particular insult that's in this book. Granted, I did think there might have been a few double meanings at times. But that, for all I know could have just been me having a gutter brain moment or two. Daniel Blodgett who handles both writing and artist duties does a fairly fantastic job on both ends with this book. And for those of you who prefer some Black and White in your comics, this will be for you as well since only the cover gets any color treatment. I'm assuming that Daniel may be of the British persuasion, as while reading the title it had some British vibes to it. Which is nice to see from time to time as far as I'm concerned. I think I would honestly watch this if it got a cartoon treatment. Since Frick's good hearted attitude in being willing to help out even if he doesn't know what Frak's missing item looks like is one of the things I liked quite a bit.
The thing I'm curious on, is how Jack even knew how to build such a machine. But if you put too much thought into that sort of thing, you're likely to not have as much fun while reading this. But got to give him credit for putting in the effort to get himself some nuts. Why you wait to indulge yourself after you get your needed supplies! The narrative and how the characters seemingly interract with it without going over the top is another plus for this book too. The second story we get in this is another fun read. And goes to show that you really can make some fairly interesting friends in different places! So if you're looking for a good fun little read, I highly recommend getting this!
