Awutok-Thon #1
Mythography Comics
Story by: Miguelangel Ruiz
Art by: Miguelangel Ruiz
Reviewer: Robert McClelland
Summary: A luckless astronaut finds himself suddenly transported from certain death into a series of worlds and events beyond his comprehension.
Review: A lot of us have heard of the idea of having a past life and perhaps using Hypnosis to somehow experience it to a degree. And with Awutok-Thon, readers basically get that in this title. Only with the main character, he's experiencing that to something of a more extreme degree. Not to mention the oh so nice Alien who decided he'd help out with that extreme. There's certain elements in this comic that even if you only happen to look at the cover, will have you thinking of this as a cross between some sort of Supernatural title mixed in with elements of Wrestling, Sci-Fi, and Super Heroics.
Even though the Supernatural and Sci-Fi elements are pretty much the main elements you see outside of certain looks. Miguelangel, who covers both story and art duties does a fairly good job on both. Even if I am a little unsure as to where he's intending to go with this. I'm fairly curious to see what the Alien and his people have in store for the Astronaut. As well as what Miguelangel has in store for Silver Saint since it seems like he's going to be having some identity issues of his own as well. So if you're looking for something that's a little strange, I would definitely recommend picking this up.
